William Townsend, DDS

Dr. Townsend graduated with Honors from S.U.N.Y. at Binghamton with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology in 1979 . He received his Doctorate in Dental Surgery from the State University of New York at Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine in 1983. Dr. Townsend graduated fourth in his class and was the recipient of numerous awards including Academy of General Dentistry Award as the Outstanding Senior Dental Student. He continued his training at  Stony Brook University Hospital, completing a General Practice Residency in 1984.

Dr. Townsend and his wife, Bernadette, searched throughout the northeast for the ideal place to open his practice and raise their family.  They fell in love with Hunterdon County, and opened the office in their home in 1985 at Mechlin’s Corner in Union Township.   They have four children, Patrick, Kevin, Mary Kate, and Sean, and still reside in Union Township.

Patricia Gardner, DDS

Dr. Gardner joined Perryville Family Dentistry in 2000. She is a graduate of West Virginia University in Morgantown, WV with a bachelors degree in Biology, cum laude. She earned her Doctorate in Dental Medicine from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, in Newark, New Jersey. She is one of only two students in her year to complete the Honors program for Prosthodontics and Biomaterials, and was the recipient of several awards and scholarships.

After graduation Dr. Gardner completed a General Practice Residency Program at Lehigh Valley Hospital in Allentown, PA. She is currently on Medical staff at Lehigh Valley Hospital, where she is a clinical instructor and lecturer. Dr. Gardner is a native of Hunterdon County, growing up in Lebanon Township, and currently resides in Pittstown with her husband.
